SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard D. Heider of Moline, who passed away on August 1, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Richard Heider was born on March 19, 1944 in Orange County, California; his parents were Betty and Darrel Kite; he married Pam Breedlove in 1975; and

WHEREAS, Richard Heider served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970; and

WHEREAS, Richard Heider earned a master's degree in engineering from Texas A & M; he was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for 36 years; and

WHEREAS, Richard Heider was a very active member of the First Christian Church in Moline for 41 years; he was also active in Boy Scouts, Indian Guides, and sports with his boys; and

WHEREAS, Richard Heider was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and his brother; and

WHEREAS, Richard Heider is survived by his wife, Pam; his sons, Jason and Jeremy; his grandchildren, Sarah and Maddux; and his sister, Linda Kelly; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard D. Heider; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Heider as an expression of our sympathy.
