SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Cheryl C. Graham Ptasienski of Waukegan,
4who passed away on May 29, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski graduated from Waukegan High
6School, the Marquette School of Nursing, the College of Lake
7County, and numerous other schools; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski held many jobs in life, but her
9passion was food; she and her husband owned Cherdan Events; she
10also operated the "Good News Kitchen" for two years, catered
11lunches for veterans on Memorial and Veterans Day, and
12coordinated the Waukegan Farmers Market; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski was a lifelong member of Christ
14Episcopal Church in Waukegan; she was President and a member of
15the Episcopal Church Woman, the Milwaukee Police Wives, the
16Waukegan Concert Chorus, the Bell Canto Chorus of Milwaukee,
17the Waukegan Friends of the Library, the Waukegan Park District
18Parade Board, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 281; she was
19Chairperson of the Christ Episcopal Church Carmel Making Fund
20Raising group; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski was preceded in death by her

1father, Leo F. Graham Jr., and her grandparents, Henry and
2Marie Bower, and Sarah and Leo F. Graham Sr.; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski is survived by her husband of 32
4years, Daniel; her mother, Marlene; her daughters, Christine
5(Phillip, Xavier, and Catarina), Stephanie (Mark), and
6Elisabeth (Paul); her sister, Colleen (Greg); and her nieces;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Cheryl C. Graham Ptasienski, and extend our sincere condolences
11to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Cheryl Ptasienski as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
