SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Walter "Wally" Kelsch of Naperville, who
4passed away on August 13, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was born October 13, 1926 in
6Naperville; his parents were John and Wilhelmina "Minnie"
7Kelsch; he married Betty Kelsch on September 3, 1955; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch grew up in Naperville and attended
9Naper Elementary School and Naperville High School; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch served with the United States Army
11from 1945 to 1946 and was part of the Occupation of Japan after
12World War II; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was employed with Moser Lumber in
14Naperville for 35 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was a member of Bethany Lutheran
16Church and Judd Kendall Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3873 in
17Naperville; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch enjoyed bowling; he was also an
19enthusiastic fan of the Chicago White Sox and a proud member of

1the Centennial Beach Bums; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was preceded in death by his wife,
3Betty; his parents; and his siblings, Ada, Adam, John,
4Frederick, Billy, Molly, Alma, Carl, Otto, and Jeanette; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was the father of Jodi (Larry)
6Springborn and Dave (Dawn) Kelsch; the grandfather of Kyle
7Springborn and Ryan (Kim), Austin, and Jackson Kelsch; the
8great-grandfather of Eleanor Kelsch; the brother-in-law of
9Norman (Ginger) Kelml; and the uncle, great-uncle, and friend
10of many; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
13family and friends, mourn the passing of Walter "Wally" Kelsch;
14and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Walter Kelsch as an expression of
17our sympathy.
