SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Walter "Wally" Kelsch of Naperville, who passed away on August 13, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was born October 13, 1926 in Naperville; his parents were John and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Kelsch; he married Betty Kelsch on September 3, 1955; and

WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch grew up in Naperville and attended Naper Elementary School and Naperville High School; and

WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch served with the United States Army from 1945 to 1946 and was part of the Occupation of Japan after World War II; and

WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was employed with Moser Lumber in Naperville for 35 years; and

WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and Judd Kendall Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3873 in Naperville; and

WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch enjoyed bowling; he was also an enthusiastic fan of the Chicago White Sox and a proud member of the Centennial Beach Bums; and

WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents; and his siblings, Ada, Adam, John, Frederick, Billy, Molly, Alma, Carl, Otto, and Jeanette; and

WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was the father of Jodi (Larry) Springborn and Dave (Dawn) Kelsch; the grandfather of Kyle Springborn and Ryan (Kim), Austin, and Jackson Kelsch; the great-grandfather of Eleanor Kelsch; the brother-in-law of Norman (Ginger) Kelml; and the uncle, great-uncle, and friend of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Walter "Wally" Kelsch; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Walter Kelsch as an expression of our sympathy.
