SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Terry R. Lieb of Monticello, who passed away on March 8, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Terry Lieb was born on June 3, 1954 in Decatur; his parents were Robert F. and Marilyn E. (nee Chapman) Lieb; he married Tanya Sebens on February 27, 1977 in Monticello; and

WHEREAS, Terry Lieb was a lifelong 4th generation farmer; and

WHEREAS, Terry Lieb served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois/Indiana Bison Association; he served as President of the Piatt County Farm Bureau and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Piatt County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Monticello Grain Company; he was also a member of the Eastern Illinois A.B.A.T.E. Chapter; and

WHEREAS, Terry Lieb enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, raising buffalo, playing with his grandchildren, traveling with his wife and friends, politics, and serving as an advocate for agriculture; and

WHEREAS, Terry Lieb was preceded in death by his mother; and

WHEREAS, Terry Lieb is survived by his wife, Tanya Lieb; 2 sons, Josh (Julie) Lieb and Jake Lieb; 2 grandchildren, William and Jackson Lieb; his father, Robert Lieb; and a sister, Janet L. (Cliff) White; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Terry R. Lieb; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Terry Lieb as an expression of our sympathy.
