SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rosemary Myers, who passed away on October 28, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers was born to Joseph M. and Josephine Hrutka; she graduated from North Chicago Community High School and St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing; and

WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers spent her career as a registered nurse, working in several states; she took great joy in volunteering at the Gurnee Senior Center during retirement; and

WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers was an avid tennis player; she enjoyed traveling and fashion and loved spending time with her family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law, James Van Dien; and her uncle, John Zelenik; and

WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers is survived by her siblings, Joseph M. (Mary Ellen) Hrutka, and Barbara Van Dien; her aunts, Marie Zelenik, Irene Kelly, and Mildred (Bert) Foster; her niece, Maribeth Van Dien; her nephews, Michael (Laura) Van Dien, Joseph P. Hrutka, and Stephen Hrutka; her great-niece, Sawyer Belle Van Dien; and many cousins and friends, especially Terry Terlap, Beverly Koester, Judy Friedman, and Melinda Green; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Rosemary Myers, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rosemary Myers as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
