SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jovan Alexander Jordan Wilson, who passed away on November 18, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Jovan Wilson was born to Lishia Murphy and Stacey Wilson on January 29, 2001; he attended Henderson Elementary School and Perspective Math and Science Academy; and

WHEREAS, Jovan Wilson enjoyed playing basketball and Play Station and listening to old school music; he was a gifted artist and was always willing to help others; he enjoyed spending holidays with family and eating out at buffets; and

WHEREAS, Jovan Wilson is survived by his parents; his siblings, Khaliyah Wilson, Jeremy Murphy, Justin Murphy, and Stacey Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Linda Thomas and Stanley Weston; his paternal grandparents, Congressman Danny K. and Vera G. Davis, and Martha Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jovan Alexander Jordan Wilson, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jovan Wilson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
