SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marvin Edward "Bear" Dycus, who passed
4away on November 1, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marvin Dycus was born in Lyons County, Kentucky to
6Doyle and Birdie Baldwin Dycus on May 21, 1928; he served in
7the United States military and was stationed in Japan; he
8married Ruth Bluemel in Woodstock on August 25, 1954; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Marvin Dycus retired from the Eaton Corporation
10after 33 years of service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Marvin Dycus enjoyed gardening, canning,
12Pinochle, and watching the Chicago Bulls, St. Louis Cardinals,
13and college basketball; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Marvin Dycus was preceded in death by his sisters,
15Virginia, Julia, and Edna, and his brothers, Clifton, Hewlett,
16Jake, and Russell; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Marvin Dycus is survived by his wife, Ruth; his
18sons, Patrick (Mary) Kilroy, and Michael (Cathy) Dycus; seven
19grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law,
20Juanita Dycus, Peggy Dycus, Helga Hahn, and Karin Schacht; his

1brothers-in-law, William Hahn, and Reiner Lindner; and many
2nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Marvin Edward "Bear" Dycus, and extend our sincere condolences
6to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
7it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Marvin Dycus as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
