SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mark Neil, who passed away on March 23, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Mark Neil was a native of Chrisman; he began his career teaching at Catlin's junior high school and high school, before moving to Rossville Alvin's high school and elementary school as a guidance counselor; he then moved to the Danville School District in 1984, where he served for 29 years; he retired as Danville High School principal in June of 2013; in retirement, he stepped in to serve as the interim principal at Liberty Elementary in late 2013; and

WHEREAS, Mark Neil is survived by his wife, Julie; his daughter, Samantha and her 2 children; his daughter, Natalie; and his youngest children, Brianne and Ben; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mark Neil, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mark Neil as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
