SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert J. "Bob" Corcoran of Elwood, who passed away on April 16, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Bob Corcoran was born to John and Joanne Corcoran and raised in Joliet; he graduated from St. Raymond's Catholic Grade School, Joliet Catholic High School, and the University of St. Francis; he married Kristina Facchina in 1997; and

WHEREAS, Bob Corcoran loved fishing and was an avid hunter, a sport he enjoyed sharing with his sons; he enjoyed spending time with his family and left them with numerous stories and memories; he enjoyed his yearly fishing trips to Canada, family vacations to Myrtle Beach and South Carolina, and attending his sons' sports activities; he was a member of the Elwood Sportsman Club for which he organized the annual children's fishing derby; and

WHEREAS, Bob Corcoran is survived by his wife, Kristina; his sons, Zachary and Gavin; his parents; his sister, Carol (Andy) Gnehm; his brother and sister-in-law, Gina and Matt Mantia; his nephews, Mitch Gnehm and Gage Mantia; his nieces, Gillian Mantia and Sondra Gnehm; and his in-laws, Ken and Sue Facchina; as well as many, many friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert J. "Bob" Corcoran, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Corcoran as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
