SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Alton Emery Ellegood of Fox River Grove, who passed away on April 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Alton Ellegood was born on May 23, 1919 in Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, Alton Ellegood served his country as a member of the United States Navy; and

WHEREAS, Alton Ellegood enjoyed cigars and driving wherever he could go with his 4-legged companion, Millie, by his side; and

WHEREAS, Alton Ellegood was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Marie, and a son, Jeffrey Allen Ellegood; and

WHEREAS, Alton Ellegood is survived by a daughter, Betty Jo (Don) Hoebbel; 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Alisa) Ellegood, Brett (Jenna) Hagen, and Kristen (Aaron) Roberts; and 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Austin and Riley Ellegood and Connor and Lainey Hagen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Alton Emery Ellegood; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Alton Ellegood as an expression of our sympathy.
