SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Genevieve "Bea" Whyte of Normal, who passed away on May 23, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Whyte was very active in her community; while residing in North Chicago, she was a member of First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church; she was also a Lake County election volunteer and a member of the Elks Club; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Whyte served as a staff member for Illinois State Senator Terry Link; she also worked for the School District 64 Board of Education, the Lake County Urban League, and Vogue Printers; after retiring, she relocated to Normal and continued to spread love to her new community; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Whyte enjoyed volunteering at her church and spending time with her family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Whyte is survived by a sister, Guynell Long; a son, Gary (Doris) Whyte; a son, Otis Whyte, III; a daughter, Tracie (Vincent) Allen; 6 grandchildren, Cymone, Sierra, and Amber Allen, Kyle Whyte, Arlene (David) Jackson Wilder, and Yitonis Nash; 5 great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Genevieve "Bea" Whyte; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Genevieve Whyte as an expression of our sympathy.
