SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia J. Farrar Mills, who passed away on June 26, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills was born in California; she graduated from Duarte High School and attended college to further her love of art; she later moved to Illinois and met Michael Mills, with whom she started a family and continued her creative life; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills taught numerous art classes across McHenry County; she loved ceramics, and her art took on a life of its own; while working at McHenry County College, new doors opened in her field, and her work at the college found her surrounded by new friends, who became her "heart" during her battle with cancer; she also worked at Creative Arts in Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills was preceded in death by her parents, Russell James and Lorraine (nee Fenzel) Farrar, and a brother, Russell William Farrar; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills was the loving mother of Elijah and Erica Mills, the beloved sister of Diane Farrar Newell, and the beloved aunt of Alex; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Patricia J. Farrar Mills; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia Farrar Mills as an expression of our sympathy.
