SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sandi Johnson, who passed away on January 12, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Sandi Johnson was a former Harlem School District #122 Board President; and

WHEREAS, Sandi Johnson and her husband, Gary Johnson, ran Asylum Gym in Loves Park, where she also taught aerobics and spin classes; and

WHEREAS, Sandi Johnson had a large following on her CaringBridge website, where she regularly posted words of encouragement to others; she was an artist, physical trainer, and an avid Harlem Huskies fan; and

WHEREAS, Sandi Johnson is survived by her husband of 29 years, Gary; her sons, Jake and Jordan; and her 14-year-old Maltese, Spanky; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sandi Johnson, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sandi Johnson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
