SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth Patrick Duncan of Bunker Hill, who passed away on August 14, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Duncan was born on January 10, 1942 in Bunker Hill; his parents were Edward Lee and Velva (nee Berge) Duncan; he married Carolyn F. Russell on September 18, 1971 in Bunker Hill; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Duncan was employed as a forklift operator for the Box Board and a semi driver for TMJ Trucking and had worked at Rural King; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Duncan was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3912 of Litchfield; he was a member of the Bunker Hill Fire Department for 45 years, as well as the Wilsonville Fire Department and the Wilsonville Police Department; he also enjoyed camping; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Duncan was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild, Renee Marie Duncan; 3 brothers, Gerald Duncan, Don Duncan, and Leo Duncan; a niece, Debbie; and a brother-in-law, Pete Willenborg; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Duncan is survived by his wife, Carolyn; a son, Tim Duncan; a grandchild, Ashley Nicole Duncan; 2 siblings, Maurice (Maxine) Duncan and Rose Mary Willenborg; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth Patrick Duncan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Duncan as an expression of our sympathy.
