SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jason Robert Dahlmann, who passed away on August 22, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Jason Dahlmann was born in Libertyville on September 11, 1981 to Robert and Marilyn (nee Bentley) Dahlmann; he graduated from Prairie Ridge High School and attended McHenry County College; he served in the United States Marine Corps as part of Force Recon special operations in the Middle East; and

WHEREAS, Jason Dahlmann had a dedication and passion to further serve veterans; he worked in the McHenry County College (MCC) Office of Financial Aid and Veterans Benefits and planned on running for Vice-President of the MCC Student Veterans of America chapter; and

WHEREAS, Jason Dahlmann was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Mabel Dahlmann; his maternal grandparents, Warren and Pauline Bentley; and his aunt, Vernell; and

WHEREAS, Jason Dahlmann is survived by his parents; his sister, Nicole (James) Dahlmann-Kurishingal; his nephew, Jason Dahlmann-Kurishingal; his aunts, Pam (Chris) Johnson and Judy (Scott) Bentley; his uncles, Virg (Gloria) Dahlmann and Del Holtz; his cousins, Tim (Lisa) Arbulu, Billy (Gina) Holtz, Lana Holtz-Arrowood, and Pam (Fran) Beres; and his 2 canine companions, Bear and Brutus; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jason Robert Dahlmann, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jason Dahlmann as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
