SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jeffrey B. Levens; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Levens was a respected attorney, an avid sports fan, and a talented piano and clarinet player; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Levens had a weekly column in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Levens was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife and children; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Levens was the adored husband of Vera Kaye and the doting father of Noah Arthur (Andrea Brown), Barri Lauren, and Samuel Jameson; he is survived by his parents, Hy and Shirley (Addis) Levens, and his brothers, David (Susan Mackem) and Corey (Anjini Kochar); he was an uncle to Tara, Teva, and Ravi; he had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, baseball and softball teammates, and colleagues, including longtime partner, Al Augustine; he was master to his faithful dogs, Lucy and Steve; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jeffrey B. Levens, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jeffrey Levens as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
