SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

720 ILCS 5/33G-9

Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Provides that the Illinois Street Gang and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Law is repealed on June 11, 2022 (rather than June 11, 2017). Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning criminal law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Criminal Code of 2012 is amended by changing Section 33G-9 as follows:

(Section scheduled to be repealed on June 11, 2017)

Sec. 33G-9. Repeal. This Article is repealed on June 11, 2022 5 years after it becomes law.
