HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Luca Corso on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank and most coveted honor in Scouting; and

WHEREAS, Luca Corso is a member of St. Hubert Boy Scout Troop 399 in Hoffman Estates; through his dedication and hard work, he has demonstrated that he lives by the principles of the Scout Oath and Law in his daily life; and

WHEREAS, An Eagle Service Project is required to be of significant value to the community; for his project, Luca Corso chose to make lap boards for AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Women and Children's Hospital in Hoffman Estates; these boards are useful for reading, coloring, and numerous other activities; he spent nearly 70 hours working on the boards and donated 15 of them to the hospital; he completed his project with the assistance of the Michael S. DeLarco Foundation; and

WHEREAS, Luca Corso sets a fine example for his peers and friends through his leadership, hard work, and commitment; and

WHEREAS, Luca Corso graduated from St. Edward Central Catholic High School; he plans to attend Michigan State University and study criminal justice; and

WHEREAS, Luca Corso will be recognized at the Eagle Court of Honor on August 19, 2018 at St. Hubert Catholic Church; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Luca Corso on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Luca Corso as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
