1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Antioch Community High
4 School Senior Patrick Schoenfelder on winning the 2017 Illinois
5 High School Association Class 2A 160-pound State Championship
6 in wrestling; and

7     WHEREAS, Patrick Schoenfelder's achievement marks the
8 first State Championship for not only the Antioch wrestling
9 program, but for any sport in the history of Antioch Community
10 High School; and

11     WHEREAS, During his high school wrestling career, Patrick
12 Schoenfelder amassed 170 victories and two top six State
13 finishes; and

14     WHEREAS, Patrick Schoenfelder's final wrestling season
15 included a record of 48 wins and two losses, culminated by a
16 12-5 victory in the title match to bring him, and Antioch
17 Community High School, a first ever State Championship;
18 therefore, be it

19     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
20 HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21 congratulate Antioch Community High School Senior Patrick

1 Schoenfelder on winning the 2017 Illinois High School
2 Association Class 2A 160-pound State Championship in
3 wrestling, and we wish him many more successful years; and be
4 it further

5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to Patrick Schoenfelder as an expression of our
7 esteem and respect.
