HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Dr. Christine Crouch on
4the occasion of her retirement as Assistant Director of the
5Institute for Collaboration at Aurora University; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Dr. Christine Crouch spent 14 years of her career
7in education serving the Aurora West School District 129; she
8served four years as the Director of Special Education, seven
9years as the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, and
10two years as the Director of Special Projects for Human
11Resources; she joined the Institute for Collaboration as
12Assistant Director in 2009; and
 
13    WHEREAS, As Assistant Director, Dr. Christine Crouch
14co-authored grants to the McGowan Charitable Fund and the
15Tellabs Foundation; served on the Community Leaders Committee,
16working on after-school and summer STEM initiatives, as well as
17health and wellness projects for seniors and youth; and she
18served on the IMSP Administrative Team; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dr. Christine Crouch served as project
20coordinator for the John C. Dunham STEM Partnership School; as
21a part of that initiative, among her many responsibilities, she
22wrote grants and fiscal proposals to foundations,

1philanthropic funds, and corporations for STEM curriculum
2development and construction on the school; she facilitated
3logistics for the school including teacher and administrator
4selection criteria, student section criteria, professional
5development, and governance-related issues; and worked to
6develop strategies to replicate the STEM Partnership School
7model in other Illinois communities; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dr. Christine Crouch received her Bachelor of
9Science in Education at Western Illinois University; she later
10attended Northern Illinois University where she completed her
11Master of Science in Education, an Educational Leadership
12Certificate Program, and other post-graduate work; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Throughout her career Dr. Christine Crouch has
14conducted presentations and attended conferences focused on
15building partnerships and collaborative relationships to
16develop STEM programs in schools; she published, "STEM School
17Offers Strong Foundation for Students" in the Illinois Business
18Leader in 2015; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
20HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21congratulate Dr. Christine Crouch on the occasion of her
22retirement as Assistant Director of the Institute for
23Collaboration at Aurora University, and thank her for her

1career dedicated to the education of students in Illinois, and
2wish her a healthy and happy retirement; and be it further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4presented to Dr. Christine Crouch as an expression of our
5esteem and respect.
