HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to recognize Lisle Savings Bank on the occasion of its 100th anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Lisle Savings Bank was chartered on July 19, 1917 as the Sacramento Avenue Building and Loan Association and commenced operations at 2307 S. Sacramento Avenue in Chicago in order to make loans with the "object of building and improving homesteads and the accumulation of funds to loan among its members only"; and

WHEREAS, On July 2, 1952, after several moves within Chicago, the business relocated to 2644 W. Cermak Road in Chicago, and the name was changed to the Sacramento Savings and Loan Association; and

WHEREAS, In 1959, the business moved to its current location at 4722 Main Street in Lisle, and the name was changed to the Lisle Savings and Loan Association; and

WHEREAS, Since 1917, four generations of the Renn family have carried on the spirit of their founders' commitment to serve the financial needs of its customers and have grown the assets of Lisle Savings Bank to over $539 million dollars; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize Lisle Savings Bank on its 100-year history and we wish them success and prosperity in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Lisle Savings Bank as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
