HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of James I.
4"Jimmy" Sanfilippo, who passed away on December 12, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Sanfilippo was born on April 30, 1958; and
 
6    WHEREAS, James Sanfilippo was president and business
7representative for Carpenters Local 1539, president of the
8Chicago and Western Lakes Port Council, and Carpenters Union
9Representative to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, James Sanfilippo served as a delegate to the
12Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters, the UBC General
13Convention, the Chicago Federation of Labor, and the Chicago
14and Cook County Building Trades Council; and
 
15    WHEREAS, James Sanfilippo was an executive board member of
16the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters and the Southland
17Friends of Labor; he was also a member of the Italian American
18Labor Council; and
 
19    WHEREAS, James Sanfilippo was the beloved husband of Karen
20(McFarland); the loving father of Michael (Jessica), Nicholas

1(Megan), Jeffrey (Melissa), and Jonathan Sanfilippo; the
2cherished grandfather of Gianna, Chase, Anthony James, and
3Halie; the dear son of Alice Mazgay and the late Michael
4Sanfilippo; the fond brother of Joseph (Dawn) Sanfilippo,
5Darlene (James) Coffey, and John Sanfilippo; the
6brother-in-law of Kathleen (Edward) Murphy and John (Lea)
7McFarland; and the kind uncle of many nieces and nephews;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
10HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11mourn the passing of James I. "Jimmy" Sanfilippo, and extend
12our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who
13knew and loved him; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of James Sanfilippo as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
