HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to recognize the National Federation of Independent Business as it celebrates its 75th anniversary; and

WHEREAS, The National Federation of Independent Business has been helping small business owners to promote and protect their right to own, operate, and grow their businesses since May 20, 1943; and

WHEREAS, Today, the National Federation of Independent Business represents nearly 11,000 small businesses in Illinois; and

WHEREAS, The National Federation of Independent Business is the leading advocate for small business owners; and

WHEREAS, The National Federation of Independent Business is the only major business organization whose policies and positions are established by the members directly, not by executive staff or a board of directors; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the National Federation of Independent Business on its 75th anniversary and recognize its many substantial achievements on behalf of the business industry through these years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be delivered to Mark Grant, the Illinois State Director of the National Federation of Independent Business.
