HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Deborah Steil on the occasion of her retirement as a telecommunicator with the Village of Glenview; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Steil has served Glenview for 34 years, from January of 1983 to February of 2017; and

WHEREAS, Telecommunicators are the first people contacted when emergency assistance is needed and have the ability to keep calm under pressure and use logical, focused, and objective thinking even when things are challenging; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Steil has responded to thousands of emergency calls and has always sent the proper authorities to resolve the situation; she has a clear head and the ability to multi-task; she cares about the well-being of the officers and firefighters on duty; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Steil has always exercised good judgment and has been able to talk to people in various emotional states; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Deborah Steil on her retirement as a telecommunicator with the Village of Glenview and we wish her the best in all her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Deborah Steil as an expression of our esteem and respect.
