SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 5/22-32 new

Amends the School Code. Requires a school district to allow a student to possess and use a topical sunscreen product while on school property or at a school-related event or activity, regardless of the student possessing a note or prescription from a licensed health care professional. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 22-32 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/22-32 new)

Sec. 22-32. Student possession and use of sunscreen. A school district shall allow a student to possess and use a topical sunscreen product while on school property or at a school-related event or activity, regardless of the student possessing a note or prescription from a licensed health care professional.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
