105 ILCS 5/27-5

from Ch. 122, par. 27-5

Amends the Courses of Study Article of the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning physical education and training.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section 27-5 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/27-5) (from Ch. 122, par. 27-5)

Sec. 27-5. Physical education and training. School boards of public schools and and the Board of Governors of State Colleges and Universities shall provide for the physical education and training of pupils of the schools and laboratory schools under their respective control, and shall include physical education and training in the courses of study regularly taught therein. The physical education and training course offered in grades 5 through 10 may include the health education course required in the Critical Health Problems and Comprehensive Health Education Act.
