SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Henry Henske of Litchfield, who passed away on October 25, 2017; and

WHEREAS, John Henske was born in Hillsboro to Henry Charles "Hank" and Mary Marie (Fletcher) Henske on December 4, 1934; he graduated from Litchfield High School in 1953 and was a veteran of the United States Army; he married Joyce L. Dunaway in Litchfield on May 28, 1965; and

WHEREAS, John Henske owned John Henry's Vending & Amusement in Litchfield and also operated John Henry's Bar for several years; for the past five years, he worked for Action Amusement; and

WHEREAS, John Henske was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, VFW Post #3912, American Legion Post #436, and Moose Lodge #1634; he enjoyed high school sports, raising dogs, and going kayaking and canoeing; and

WHEREAS, John Henske was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, John Charles Henske; and

WHEREAS, John Henske is survived by his wife, Joyce; his sons, Todd (Nancy) Henske, Brian (Laura) Henske, Scott Henske, and Jason (Jennifer) Henske; his sister, Gloria Jean Glynn; his grandchildren, Adam (Margaret) Henske, Amy (David) Down, Zachary (Tiffany) Henske, Danny Henske, Matthew Henske, Arthur (Paige) Henske, Aaron Henske, and Jenna Henske; and his six great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Henske and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Henske as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
