SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of George A. Bailey of Bristol, Wisconsin,
4formerly of Wonder Lake, Illinois, who passed away on October
531, 2017; and
 
6    WHEREAS, George Bailey was born in Woodstock to Donald and
7Dorothy (Kendssater) Bailey on February 27, 1959; he proudly
8served in the United States Navy; he married MaryJo Decker in
9Woodstock on September 27, 1997; and
 
10    WHEREAS, George Bailey worked as a shipping and receiving
11manager for Watlow Gordon for over 22 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, George Bailey was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs
13and the Chicago Bears; he enjoyed going to the Renaissance
14Faire; he especially loved spending time with his
15grandchildren; and
 
16    WHEREAS, George Bailey was preceded in death by his wife,
17MaryJo; his grandson, James Menheer, and his brother, Daniel
18Gene Bailey; and
 
19    WHEREAS, George Bailey is survived by his children, Tricia
20(Charlie) Koba, Amy (Bill) Sutton, and Tracie (Jimmy Schneider)

1Becker; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Koba, Chad Koba, Erik
2(Justine) Menheer, Kayla (Chris Cook) Menheer, Tyler (Madison)
3Menheer, Jacoby (Quinn Bognar) Becker, and Maggie (Mason Coad)
4Becker; his great-grandchildren, Emmy, James, Macy, Raelynn,
5and Landon; his parents; and many other relatives and friends;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9George A. Bailey and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of George Bailey as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
