SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eric L. Holderbaum of North Chicago and Park City, who passed away on August 15, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Eric Holderbaum retired after 40 years as a police officer; he was a veteran of the United States Marines; and

WHEREAS, Eric Holderbaum was the fond son of the late Chuck and Erma (Heiser) Holderbaum; the beloved husband of 25 years of Joyce (Vikre) Holderbaum; the loving father of Lane Holderbaum and Debi (Doug) Combs, and Mike (Tracy) Tomasiewicz; the dear grandfather of Stephanie Tomasiewicz, Tommy (Brittney) Tomasiewicz, Jessica Tomasiewicz, DJ Thomas, Jana (Cody) Taylor, Zak Thomas, Jacob Holderbaum, and Tatiana Holderbaum; the dear great-grandfather of seven; the dear brother of Skip (Debbie) Holderbaum, Tip (Mickey) Holderbaum, Judy (Carl) Sutton, Sandy (Louie) Styden, Kookie (Howard) Morgan, Jay Holderbaum, Teenie Esparza, Windy (Dave) Spaulding and the late Toby Holderbaum; the uncle of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Eric L. Holderbaum and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eric Holderbaum as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
