SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward Joseph Miller of Johnsburg, who
4passed away on November 14, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Miller was born in Woodstock to Alfred and
6Eleanor (Schaefer) Miller on January 6, 1948; he was a lifelong
7resident of McHenry County and educated in Richmond; he lived
8in Johnsburg for over ten years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edward Miller was a decorated veteran of the
10United States Army during the Vietnam War; he served from
111967-1969 and achieved the rank of Sergeant; among his several
12decorations, he received a Purple Heart; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Edward Miller was employed as a carpenter by R & D
14Thiel Inc. for over 35 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Edward Miller enjoyed boating and jet skiing; he
16was an accomplished sign builder and was always willing to help
17his many neighbors; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Edward Miller was preceded in death by his
19parents; and his brother, Thomas Miller; and

1    WHEREAS, Edward Miller is survived by his wife, Donna
2"Patti" (Stachula) Miller; his daughters, Erin (Robert) Burns
3and Janet (John) Herzog; and his grandchildren, Logan,
4Scarlett, Eleanor, and Lillian; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Edward Joseph Miller and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Edward Miller as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
