SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Florence Marie Willborn, who passed away
4on December 10, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Florence Willborn was born in Chicago to Henry and
6Josephine Davis on December 26, 1938; she attended Douglas
7Elementary and graduated from Englewood High School; she
8married William "Sonny" Willborn in 1955; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Florence Willborn worked in public service for 48
10years, first for Cook County, and then for the Illinois
11Department of Human Services; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Florence Willborn was a member of King of Kings
13Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother's
14Board; she was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and
15Sisters Network Inc,; she enjoyed being surrounded by family
16and friends; she was known as an excellent cook, the ultimate
17hostess, a world traveler, and a fashionista; she was an
18inspiration for many; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Florence Willborn was preceded in death by her
20brother, Henry Davis; and

1    WHEREAS, Florence Willborn is survived by her husband,
2William; her daughters, Aubrey (Gregory) Powell and DeLinda
3Wakil-Robinson; her siblings, Bette Perry and Gerald Davis; her
4grandchildren, John, Ben, Jacob, Isaac, Malia, DeLinda,
5Abraham, and Kyla; her great-grandchildren; and her many
6nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Florence Marie Willborn and extend our sincere condolences to
10her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Florence Willborn as an expression
14of our deepest sympathy.
