| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Donald J. Crandall of Lake In The Hills, | 4 | | who passed away on November 29, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Don Crandall was born to LeRoy and Bette Florence | 6 | | Crandall on December 7, 1948; his life centered around | 7 | | athletics, and he received All State honors in basketball in | 8 | | high school; he went on to attend Northwestern University, | 9 | | where he was a scholarship athlete; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Don Crandall began his career teaching high school | 11 | | math and coaching; he later served as Athletic Director and | 12 | | finally as Director of Student Activities in District 211; he | 13 | | was inducted into the Erie High School Hall of Fame, Palatine | 14 | | High School Hall of Fame, and the Illinois Athletic Directors | 15 | | Hall of Fame; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Don Crandall enriched the lives of those around | 17 | | him; his friends and family will forever remember his hearty | 18 | | laugh; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Don Crandall was preceded in death by his parents; | 20 | | and his brothers-in-law, Steve Brewers and Greg Brewers; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Dan Crandall is survived by his wife, Kathleen; | 2 | | his brother, Terry Crandall; his sister, Vicki (Kay) Spidahl; | 3 | | his brother-in-law, Mike (Mary) Brewers; his sister-in-law, | 4 | | Toni Crandall; his nieces and nephews, Brandi (Brant) Nehmer, | 5 | | Drew (Jenny) Spidahl, Zack (Colleen) Crandall, Ashley | 6 | | Crandall, Steve (Kathy) Brewers, Karri (JD) Walter, and Katie | 7 | | (Adam) Lutostanski; and his many great-nieces and nephews; | 8 | | therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Donald J. Crandall and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
