| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James Day "Jim" Blazier of Harvard, who | 4 | | passed away on December 1, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Blazier was born in Harvard to James and | 6 | | Elizabeth Blazier on August 17, 1951; he married Dixie | 7 | | Berryhill in Harvard on November 7, 1970; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jim Blazier retired in 2014 after running his own | 9 | | business, Blazier Trucking, for many years; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jim Blazier enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, | 11 | | storytelling, reading books to his grandchildren, and having | 12 | | breakfast with his friends; he was active in his church, | 13 | | participating in many different activities and on committees | 14 | | throughout the years; he was a loving father, grandfather, and | 15 | | great-grandfather; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jim Blazier was preceded in death by his father, | 17 | | James F. Blazier, and his brother, Dan Blazier; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Jim Blazier is survived by his children, Carla | 19 | | Sipe, Jessica (Eric) Sugalski, and Hannah (Mike) Jesski; his | 20 | | mother, Elizabeth Blazier; his brother, Roger (Dale) Blazier; |

| 1 | | his sisters, Robin (Al) Sack and Lynette Blazier; his | 2 | | grandchildren, Rachael and Jacob Hayes, James, Jonathon, and | 3 | | Kaitlynn Jesski, and Annica, Julia, and Nathan Sugalski; his | 4 | | great-granddaughter, Amelia Hayes; and many nieces, nephews, | 5 | | and great-nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | James Day "Jim" Blazier, and extend our sincere condolences to | 9 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
