SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frank Lombardi of Spring Grove, formerly
4of Richmond, who passed away on December 16, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Lombardi was born in Chicago to Michael and
6Mary (Mastorio) Lombardi on February 17, 1920; he graduated
7from Oak Park River Forest High School; he served in the United
8States Army Air Corp as a staff Sergeant during World War II;
9he was awarded three bronze stars; he married Grace Schoenborn
10on August 16, 1947; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Frank Lombardi owned and operated a service
12station in Oak Park with his brother, then moved on to "Whiskey
13Corners" in Richmond; he retired at the age of 80; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Frank Lombardi was a member and past President of
15the Richmond Rotary Club; he was also a member of the Richmond
16VFW; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Frank Lombardi was preceded in death by his wife,
18Grace; a daughter, Ruth; and his sons-in-law, Mark Baran and
19John Messick; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Frank Lombardi is survived by two daughters, Sandy

1(George Radke) Messick and Carol (Keith) Roeske; his son, David
2(Rocky) Lombardi; his grandchildren, Jackie (Kevin Miller),
3Greg (Karly) Messick, Carin (Wyatt) Valentine, and Stephen
4(Kristen) Roeske; his six great-grandchildren; his two
5great-great-grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Frank Lombardi and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Frank Lombardi as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
