SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard David Fox of Bloomington, who
4passed away on December 21, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Fox was born in Bloomington to Richard
6Charles and Betty Virginia Arnold Fox on August 30, 1942; he
7graduated from Trinity High School in 1960 and joined the
8Illinois National Guard, serving from 1960 to 1964; he married
9Carol Lynn Keeran at St. Mary's Parish in Bloomington on May
1011, 1963; and
 
11    WHEREAS, David Fox joined the Bloomington Fire Department
12in 1970, where he served for 24 years before his retirement;
13during that time, he became a barber and cut hair in the
14Griesheim Building; he also worked for State Farm Insurance in
15administrative services on his days off from the fire
16department; and
 
17    WHEREAS, David Fox was a longtime member of Bloomington
18Knights of Columbus Council 574 and the Holy Trinity Catholic
19Church in Bloomington; his greatest loves were his wife, his
20children, and his grandchildren and he was devoted to all of
21them, supporting them in so many ways; and

1    WHEREAS, David Fox was preceded in death by his parents;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, David Fox is survived by his wife, Carol Lynn; his
4children, Col. Richard David (Kim) Fox and Nancy Ann (Rob)
5Bryant; his grandchildren, Caroline Linville Fox, Jonathon
6Graham Fox, Griffin Prescott Fox, Grace McKinney Bryant, Robert
7Fatherson Bryant Jr., and William Fox Bryant; and his brother,
8Dennis P. Fox D.D.S.; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Richard David Fox, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of David Fox as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
