SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert J. Willetts of Prophetstown, who passed away on January 6, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Robert Willetts was born in Kewanee to Albert and Myrtle Bates Willetts on October 10, 1926; he attended grade school in Kewanee and graduated from Kewanee High School; he served in the United States Army during World War II; he married Elaine J. Hepner in Kewanee on October 19, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Robert Willetts was employed by John Deere; and

WHEREAS, Robert Willetts was a member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church, the Prophetstown American Legion, and the United Auto Workers; and

WHEREAS, Robert Willetts was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; and

WHEREAS, Robert Willetts is survived by his daughter, Dawn Willetts; his son, Mark Willetts; his grandchildren, Christopher Maloof, Lyndsey Maloof, Jodi (Billy) Alligood, and Aaron (Jennifer) Maloof; his nine great-grandchildren; and his sister, Jean Orr; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert J. Willetts and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Willetts as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
