| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Leonard A. Serio of Crystal Lake, who | 4 | | passed away on December 25, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lenny Serio was born in Burlington, Illinois to | 6 | | Leonard and Doris Serio on June 10, 1932; he was raised in the | 7 | | Elgin area; he married Patricia A. Davidson on August 18, 1956; | 8 | | and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Lenny Serio served in the United States Air Force | 10 | | and then in the National Guard; he worked on F86 jets and KC97 | 11 | | fuel tankers, was a flight engineer on the KC97, and a flight | 12 | | refueling specialist and instructor; he retired in 1968; he | 13 | | worked as a carpenter on many homes in Cary before moving on to | 14 | | commercial enterprises; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Lenny Serio enjoyed restoring cars with his son, | 16 | | bowling with his friends, and flying many different types of | 17 | | aircraft at the local airport; he loved his pet schnauzers; he | 18 | | was a devoted husband and an integral part of his son's life; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Lenny Serio was preceded in death by his parents; | 21 | | a sister, Nancy; and his son, Barry; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Lenny Serio is survived by his wife, Patricia; a | 2 | | sister, Marilyn; his daughter-in-law, Susan; and his many | 3 | | nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 6 | | Leonard A. Serio and extend our sincere condolences to his | 7 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 8 | | further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 | | presented to the family of Lenny Serio as an expression of our | 11 | | deepest sympathy.
