SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William "Bill" Stuart Moser of Urbana, who passed away on January 5, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Bill Moser was born in Urbana to Steve and Nancy (Pepper) Moser on September 21, 1967; he graduated from St. Joseph-Ogden High School in 1985; he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Illinois; he then earned a Master's Degree in Astronomy from the University of Florida; and

WHEREAS, Bill Moser taught physics and astronomy at several community colleges; he then decided to return to his family's farm, which he had planned to take over when his parents retired; and

WHEREAS, Bill Moser enjoyed music, foreign languages, and working with and refurbishing computers; he will be dearly missed by those who loved him; and

WHEREAS, Bill Moser was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wayne Moser; and his maternal grandparents, Alice and William Pepper; and

WHEREAS, Bill Moser is survived by his parents; his sisters, Anne (James) Shumar and Katie Moser (Nathan Hankins); his paternal grandmother, Helen Moser Jedlick; and his four nieces; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William "Bill" Stuart Moser and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bill Moser as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
