SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Karen E. (Spitzbart) Young of McHenry,
4who passed away on January 19, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Karen Young was born in Waukegan to Lloyd and
6Grace (Glosson) Spitzbart on January 5, 1956; she married James
7B. Young at Chapel on the Hill in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on
8March 25, 1989; and
 
9    WHEREAS, She worked as an assembler at Intermatic in Spring
10Grove for 35 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Karen Young was a member of St. Peter Catholic
12Church in Spring Grove; she found great enjoyment in cooking,
13baking, decorating cakes, and feeding her family and guests;
14she was a devoted wife and mother and often went out of her way
15to help others; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Karen Young was preceded in death by her parents;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Karen Young is survived by her husband of 28
19years, James; her sons, William Young and Todd Young; her
20granddaughter, Alaya; her sisters, Judy (Ed) Boyer and Debbie

1(Steve) Robers; and her brother, Ronald (Lisa) Spitzbart;
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Karen E. (Spitzbart) Young and extend our sincere condolences
6to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
7it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Karen Young as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
