SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Aleigra J. Revak of Ashland City, Tennessee, formerly of McHenry, who passed away on January 19, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Aleigra Revak was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Lester Bliffert and Alyce (Schmidt) Bliffert on October 4, 1924; she married Leo Revak at the Christian Church in Ladysmith, Wisconsin on July 24, 1948; after living in McHenry for 60 years, she relocated to Tennessee with her daughter and her family; and

WHEREAS, Aleigra Revak was a registered nurse and enjoyed a long career at the former McHenry Hospital, where she worked as the Purchasing Manager; she used her medical knowledge, along with a talent to efficiently manage a busy department, to process and receive orders for the facility; she retired in 1994; and

WHEREAS, Aleigra Revak was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in McHenry, and her church and church friends were dear to her; she enjoyed going bowling and playing Bingo; she cherished the love of her family and was a caring wife and mother and an adoring grandmother; and

WHEREAS, Aleigra Revak was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Leo; and

WHEREAS, Aleigra Revak is survived by her children, Rob (Laurie) Revak and Judy (Roger) Lance; her grandchildren, Joe (Ellen) Revak, Quinn Revak (fiance Mia Fikaris), Sara (Timo) Fabian, Amy Marie Boorsma (fiance Eric Blackwood), and Christa (Mitchel) Hubert; her great-grandchildren, Annabelle Marie Boorsma and Everly Rose; her sister, Betti Sheldon; and her nephews, Carey Sheldon, Blake (Leanne) Sheldon, and Derek Sheldon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Aleigra J. Revak and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Aleigra Revak as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
