SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Deborah Elizabeth Taylor of Chicago, who passed away on December 26, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Taylor was born in Chicago on the South Side to Eugenia and Bradley Taylor on October 14, 1951; she attended Doolittle Elementary and Wedell Phillips High School; she married Charles Winston II; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Taylor was a Muslim who believed in the well being of her family members and harmony in relationships; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Taylor was a hardworking, dedicated member of her community and was never afraid to stand up for what she believed was right; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Taylor was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Brad, James, Ernest, Warden, and David; and her sisters, Dorsey and Gene; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Taylor is survived by her son, Charles Winston III (Erika); her daughter, Stacie Winston; her grandchildren, Milton Howard, Brianna Winston, Rasheedah Echols, Diamond Winston, and Charles Winston IV; her brothers, Robert, Darrin, and Clarence; her sisters, Nelma and Denise; her four great-grandchildren; and her many other relatives, loved ones, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Deborah Elizabeth Taylor and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Deborah Taylor as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
