| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Walter Howard Huff of Silvis, who passed | 4 | | away on February 3, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Walter Huff served in Tokyo, Japan from 1951 to | 6 | | 1953 with the United States First Army Division during the | 7 | | Korean War; he married Lola Mae Baum Huff in Moline on May 22, | 8 | | 1953; he then married Della Irene Latta-Lindsey Huff in 2006; | 9 | | and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Walter Huff retired from John Deere in 1989; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Walter Huff loved his family, church, southern | 12 | | gospel, and bluegrass music; he was an elder and member of The | 13 | | Apostolic Sanctuary of the Quad Cities in Silvis, where he had | 14 | | devoted his life since 1956; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Walter Huff was preceded in death by his first | 16 | | wife of 52 years, Lola; his brother, Willie F. Huff; his | 17 | | sisters, Essie Huff Garmon, Lois Huff Harper, and Lucy Huff | 18 | | Lindsey; and his half-brothers, Kenneth and James Froedge; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Walter Huff is survived by his wife, Della | 20 | | (Latta-Lindsey); his brother, Rollin Huff; his sister, Ollie |
