SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marion E. O'Connell of Waukegan, who
4passed away on February 1, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell was born in Chicago to Clyde and
6Grace Monnier on February 26, 1928; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell worked in the transportation
8department of the Veterans Administration Hospital, retiring
9in 1993; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell enjoyed playing bingo and loved
11her "puppies" who were always at her side; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell was preceded in death by her
13husband, Jerry; her daughter, LaVerne; her parents; her sister,
14Charlotte Barrett; her brother-in-law, Phil Barrett; and her
15sister-in-law, Sally; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell is survived by her children,
17Diane (Bert) Tarnowske, Bob (Deb) O'Connell, and Jerry, Dan,
18and Michelle (Bill) Stolarik; 14 grandchildren; 10
19great-grandchildren; her brother, Clyde Monnier; her sisters,
20Jean (Ed) Hopkins, and Sharon (Bob) Kozlowski; and many nieces,

1nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Marion E. O'Connell, and extend our sincere condolences to her
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Marion O'Connell as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
