SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Frances Patterson of Carrollton, who passed away on December 22, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Mary Patterson was born in White Hall to Frank and Elre McCollister on January 11, 1936; she married James L. Patterson in White Hall on April 27, 1957; and

WHEREAS, Mary Patterson was a homemaker and mother; and

WHEREAS, Mary Patterson enjoyed reading, playing dominos, and spending time with her lunch bunch ladies; and

WHEREAS, Mary Patterson was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Mary Patterson is survived by her husband, James; her children, Melinda Miner, Melissa (Tom) Martin, Jamie Patterson, Andy Patterson, and Molly (Mike) Hensley; her sister, Judi Humphrey; her 11 grandchildren; her 14 great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mary Frances Patterson and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Patterson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
