SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert Lee "Bob" Jamieson Sr. of Port Byron, who passed away on March 6, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. was born in Moline to Wallace and Emma Peterson Jamieson on June 21, 1927; he served in the United States Army in 1945; during the Korean Conflict, he served in the United States Navy; he married Marilyn Anderson in 1949; he later married Arlene Johnston in 1969; and

WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. co-owned and operated Jamieson's Garage in Moline with his brother, Verne; he retired from John Deere Harvester in East Moline in 1992; and

WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arlene; his son, Robert L. Jamieson Jr.; his sister-in-law; and his brother-in-law; and

WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. is survived by his son, John Jamieson; his grandchildren, Stacy Boatman, Mandy Steinmetz, Eric (Jami) Jamieson, and Andrea Jamieson; his many great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Verne Jamieson and Marilyn Ade; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert Lee "Bob" Jamieson Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Jamieson Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
