| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jack Coder of Hampton, who passed away on | 4 | | March 26, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Coder was born in Moline to Harold William | 6 | | and Gertrude Marie (Duncan) Coder on July 8, 1930; he graduated | 7 | | from United Township High School in East Moline, where he was | 8 | | president of the senior class; he then graduated from Augustana | 9 | | College in 1952, where he was on the football team; he served | 10 | | in Korea in the United States Army; he married Beverly McNeal | 11 | | in Hampton on December 26, 1954; he completed his master's | 12 | | degree at the University of Iowa; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jack Coder was employed by Moline School District | 14 | | No. 40 as a guidance counselor at Moline High School for 38 | 15 | | years; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jack Coder was a charter member of the Hampton | 17 | | Historical Society and a member of the Blackhawk Retired | 18 | | Teachers Association; he enjoyed history and genealogy; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jack Coder was preceded in death by his siblings, | 20 | | Harold "Bill" Coder, Clifford Coder and Bette Eggerichs; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jack Coder is survived by his wife, Beverly; his | 2 | | children, Christopher McNeal (Marcelle) Coder, Tad W. Coder, | 3 | | and Ellie Coder (Daniel Kosminsky); his grandchildren, Hannah | 4 | | Coder, Claire Coder, Katee Coder, Jack B. Coder, Merry Coder | 5 | | (Dr. Kane Keller), Rebecca Kosminsky, and Christopher W. | 6 | | Kosminsky; his great-grandson, Maxwell Correa; his | 7 | | sister-in-law, Mary Jane Nelson; and his many nieces and | 8 | | nephews; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Jack Coder and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | 12 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
