| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of McCoy L. James of Port Byron, who passed | 4 | | away on March 25, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, McCoy James was born in Casa, Arkansas to Jesse O. | 6 | | and Zetta I. (McCoy) James on January 10, 1924; he was a | 7 | | veteran of the United States Army and served during World War | 8 | | II; he married Betty A. Garner in Moline on June 25, 1949; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, McCoy James retired from J.I. Case as a production | 10 | | manager and general foreman after 23 years of service; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, McCoy James attended Wildwood Church; he was a | 12 | | member of the East Moline American Legion Post 227 and a | 13 | | lifetime member of the Moline VFW; he was also a 32nd Degree | 14 | | Mason of the Scottish Rite and Coordinate Bodies Valley of | 15 | | Moline; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, McCoy James was preceded in death by his wife, | 17 | | Betty; his son, Charles James; his brothers, Jesse O. James Jr. | 18 | | and William D. James; and his brother-in-law, Leonard Hartsock; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, McCoy James is survived by his children, Scott |
