SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John "Johnny" Angelos, who passed away on April 11, 2018; and

WHEREAS, John Angelos was born to Frank John and Lucille Julia (Welter) Angelos on November 28, 1950; he was raised in Zion; he joined the United States Army and served at Fort Leavenworth as a Military Police Officer; and

WHEREAS, John Angelos retired from the Waukegan Police Department after 30 years of service; and

WHEREAS, John Angelos enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cribbage, and spending time with his friends; and

WHEREAS, John Angelos was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, John Angelos is survived by his daughters, Rachel (Darrell) Wiatrowski and Kari (Tim) Knight; his grandchildren, Rylan, Reece, Ava, and Elle; his sister, Judith (David) Larsen; his brothers, Frank R. (Christine) Angelos and Thomas C. (Joy) Angelos; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John "Johnny" Angelos and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Angelos as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
