SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harry Paul Linden Jr. of Yorkville, who passed away on April 6, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Harry Linden was born in Aurora to Harry Paul and Bernice (Pigney) Linden on October 18, 1936; he married Janet Margaret Hilger in May of 1957; he married Linda Kazort Abbott on December 17, 1993; and

WHEREAS, Harry Linden owned and operated the H. Linden & Sons Sewer & Water Company for 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Harry Linden attended St. Ann's Catholic Church in Oswego; he enjoyed traveling but loved nothing more than spending time with his family and many friends; and

WHEREAS, Harry Linden was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 32 years, Janet Margaret Linden; his son-in-law, Jeffery Klein; his brother, Robert Linden; and his sister, Patsy Linden; and

WHEREAS, Harry Linden is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda Linden; his children, Timothy Linden, Jeffery (Dana) Linden, Kimberly Klein, Steven (Laura) Linden, Brian (Christine) Linden, and Lisa (Ill. State Rep. Keith) Wheeler; his step-children, Katharine (Jim) Reints, Karen (Ronald) Cawthon, and David Abbott; his grandchildren, Megan (Kris), Brett (Hillary), Pat (Erin), Rachel, Andrea, Danielle, Nick, Brooke, Jake, Jaydon, Jackson, Matt, Chad, and Ava; his great-grandchildren, Kayden, Landon, Mayson, Sophie, Shawn, and Charlotte; his siblings, Benjamin (Renee) Linden and Beverly (Steve) Allen; his sister-in-law, Carol Linden; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Harry Paul Linden Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harry Linden as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
