SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charmaine J. "Charm" Hay, formerly of
4Wonder Lake and Fox Lake, who passed away on April 9, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charmaine Hay was born in Chicago to Ralph and
6Evelyn (Hoelterhoff) McReynolds on May 30, 1944; she attended
7McHenry High School and graduated from Woodstock High School in
81962; she married Larry O. Hay on October 9, 1964; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Charmaine Hay was a longtime employee at the First
10National Bank of Woodstock, the RTA, Morton Chemical, and Bob
11Burns & Associates; she also volunteered for many years at NIMC
12in both the emergency room and transport department; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Charmaine Hay always had a smile on her face while
14line dancing at Maverick, No Bull or with Norm's Dancing Group
15in McHenry; dancing was her first love, after her family,
16followed by her Card Club and Wonder Lake Cronies which she
17always found time for until she moved to her dream home in
18Arizona; she was so proud of the home that she made with her
19life partner, John, and fur child, Bailey; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Charmaine Hay was preceded in death by her
21husband, Larry; her mothers, Evelyn McReynolds and Edna Hay;

1and her grandparents, Ernest and Emily Hoelterhoff; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Charmaine Hay is survived by her significant
3other, John Babut; her daughters, Diana (Paul) Haack, Natalie
4(Jerry) Draffkorn Jr., and Kim (Steve Bois) Keefe; her
5grandchildren, Brad Larsen, Trey (Jessica) Draffkorn, Jonelle
6(Josh Medcalf) Draffkorn, and Katelyn Keefe; her
7great-grandchild, Elinor Draffkorn; and her brothers, Dan
8(Caroline) McReynolds, Ralph "JR" (Suzanne) McReynolds, and
9Wesley (Debbie) McReynolds; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Charmaine J. "Charm" Hay, and extend our sincere condolences to
13her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Charmaine Hay as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
